My goal with Bridgemire has always been to make the sort of game I would personally love to play. Something easy to run and get into, something a bit more light-hearted and something that empowers players’ and game runners’ creativity. After all, to me, creativity and imagination is what Pen & Paper RPGs are all about.

While I appreciate classic fantasy as much as anyone, my favourite take on the genre has always been the mundane-whimsy of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld. The sort of setting where a dragons bid for city council is in jeopardy, not because they are a fire-breathing monster, but because his dead-beat brother was done for tax fraud a few years ago.

I am a Canadian graphic designer by trade, an illustrator for fun, and a writer by happenstance. I’ve tried my best to pay homage to those brilliant stories, with endless stories others might make in Bridgemire.

I hope you’re table has as much fun as mine has, and continues to have.
